Data Erasure Simplified
- The removal of information from a USB drive is referred to as USB deletion.
- Array deletion involves the elimination of data from a collection of storage devices.
- Device connection pertains to the establishment of a communication link between various devices.
- A control hub serves as a centralized platform for overseeing commands and operations.
The Mechanism of Operation of Data Erase
- USB Erase is perfect for organizations with low erasure volumes or in remote areas. It connects to desktops, laptops, servers, or MacBooks and operates independently. The device performs secure cryptographic erasure, collects system data, and generates detailed reports and erasure certificates. Licenses are stored on the USB, and reports are saved back to it. Once erasure starts, the USB can be disconnected for use on another device, enabling simultaneous processing of multiple devices. Organizations can create as many USB drives as needed for their operational needs.
- Array Erase offers secure data deletion, system information collection, and OS installation, and generates a detailed report with an erasure certificate. To start, install the Array software on a compatible Intel-based system using the all-in-one package, which includes Linux OS. Integrate erasure licenses via software keys, eliminating the need for HASP or hardware dongles. Connect hard drives or storage devices to the Array host, select the drives and erasure method, and click “Start.” Array Erase also supports hot-swapping of drives for enhanced throughput in production environments.
- Device Link provides a direct interface with MacBooks and Chromebooks for comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of device and battery performance. The automation software gathers essential system data, identifies activation locks, checks battery health, and securely wipes data with minimal user input. Device Link also enables manual hardware checks for the MacBook’s keyboard, touchpad, display, camera, and audio. Diagnostic results and erasure operations are compiled into a secure erasure certificate, accessible via Device Link or the customer portal. An optional production label can be generated to meet internal processes.
- Command Center is a server-based system, either centralized or at a workstation, that serves as a boot, report aggregation, and licensing server for remote management of erasure clients. It supports erasing desktops, laptops, and servers on the same local area network (LAN). Using PXE boot technology, target devices can be detected and erased simultaneously with a single click from either the client or host, without needing a monitor, keyboard, or mouse on the client side. The Command Center can also erase small servers with multiple internal drives.
